In May 2006 I moved to Hanoi with my wife for a three year posting. Since then I have been rather inconsistently writing ‘blogs’ about my time here and my impressions on life in Hanoi, and Vietnam in general.

These words are my impressions only. Some of the material I have researched a little, but most is purely my subjective interpretations of the world around me and my family in Hanoi. And that is it’s intentions. The objective of these writings is to describe these impressions in words and not pictures. As such some entries are quite long ... but I am now in the process of adding a few pictures as an aide to those who can’t read very well. ;)

As I mention a number of times throughout these writings, this is not a travelogue. In some sections it may seem the case, but it is not the ultimate intention. So, for ideas on how to holiday in Vietnam, this is not your destination.
